Capital Projects

Our Heart for the House campaign is collecting funds to support the future growth of Valorous Church. Below are the projects we are focusing on this year.

Indoor Lift to Upper Room

Indoor Lift to Upper Room

Prayer is a cornerstone of our church. The Upper Room is a sanctified place of prayer. It is open to anyone who would like personal quiet time with the Lord.

A dedicated lift would allow anyone to access this special space regardless of disabilities or limited mobility. Our heart is for everyone to be able to visit this room as a place of personal communion with God through prayer, reflection, and communion. The Valorous Prayer Team meets regularly in this room to pray over our church and the prayer requests that come in each week.

Outdoor Baptismal Pool

Outdoor Baptismal Pool

Baptism is an important event in the believer's walk with Jesus that symbolizes new life, with the symbolic use of water to represent washing away the old and emerging new in Christ. This is a new believer's public confession of their faith. Existing Christians also use baptism as a repentance and re-dedication. Jesus was baptized as an example for all believers. It is a public invitation to ask the Holy Spirit into your life and start your discipleship for Christ.

A dedicated baptism pool would allow us to offer spontaneous baptisms and solidify a new believer's commitment and life change through the Lord immediately.

Illuminated Cross

Illuminated Cross

The cross is the intersection of God’s love and His justice. It represents the forgiveness of sins and God’s sacrifice for humanity.

In a world full of symbolism, we want the community to know they can find hope, restoration, and God’s love on our campus. Our cross will be visible to people traveling the intersection of Highway 31 and Robert Edge Pkwy.

An average of 166 new people per day moved to Horry County for permanent residence in 2023. How many of these could be reached if they knew our building was a church?

Flags & Flagpoles

The flag is an enduring emblem of our patriotic pride. In addition to freedom, our flag is a national symbol representing the history, values, and aspirations of our country.

As our nation celebrates its 250th year, we want to display our love for our country and honor the sacrifices made by the generations that fought for the freedom to worship that we have today.

We are a church that wants to express freedom, victory, and the movement of the Holy Spirit in our lives and our community. We want to display what we stand for.

We want the Valorous Academy students to participate in caring for the flag. Our vision is that the younger generations will develop a sense of unity and pride for our nation.
